                        4 ways to be a more productive Mompreneur


Being a busy mompreneur of 5 has taught me how to be more productive with my time. Every second counts in my household.

I need structure and routines to keep me productive. My days from my mornings, afternoons and evenings are all mapped out so I can make the most of my time.

And because we are all busy I will keep this short and productive.


Wake up earlier

This was one thing I struggled with so much. I had always been a night owl. But wow this one change in my routine has made a massive impact in my life.  I get my workout done, healthy breakfast (in peace hehe) I do my journalling and all my mindset work before I start my day and this makes me super charged for my day ahead. This is my one thing in my life that is a BIG MUST for me and that is starting my day of positive and a bit of me time.



If you have children that are old enough to help around the house delegate them some chores. This will free up more time for you and teach them some valuable self efficiency skills also (so a win win). Teaching your children from an early age of how to do things for themselves is one of the best parent choice I have made. It frees my time up so much to work on things that I need to be doing for my business. And if your children are still to small to help why don’t you pay for some help. Get yourself a CLEANER.. Even if it is only for an hour a week but they could hoover, iron or clean the bathroom. This will free you up to even just write that blog you wanted to.


Meal Plan

Ok so I want you to think about this one. We can waste so much of our times running to the shops to pick up the dinner, or we forget an item for the dinner (this was a big one me). Spend just a few hours a week planning the meals ahead, checking what items are needed and either order online or go shopping. Then spend some time preparing the meals for the week ahead. Cook the rices, beans, marinate the meats and prepare all salads and vegetables. All the food can be stored in an air tight container and kept fresh. This way you know what you are having each day, no running to the shop daily it’s a big win for you.


Set Timers

The Pomodoro Technique can help you power through distractions, hyper-focus, and get things done in short bursts, while taking frequent breaks to come up for air and relax.

This is a quick break down but there is so much info on the web about it to read about.

  1. Choose a task to be accomplished
  2. Set the timer to 25 minutes
  3. Work on the task until the timer rings
  4. Take a short break (5 minutes is OK)
  5. Every 4 Pomodoros take a longer break

Just make sure you take the breaks even if just to do a body stretch or grab a herbal tea. Your mind will thank you for it. Sometimes I do be just in my flow of creation and I hate to take a break so I will just grab a drink and a small stretch believe me it helps me so much more than if I was to stay working.
